I'm pretty sure I'd be happy anywhere in Europe, but maybe most in Amsterdam. Without moving, I'd love to have a job where I could stay at home, be my own boss, and make my own hours. My house would be emaculate, and I would be so much happier. Unfortunately adulthood and bills and such hold me back.

So happy you're getting to follow your dreams. Your dad's statement practically made me cry!Kristin Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08721836568045811559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9200957061062947070.post-54089637441704404762012-04-18T06:38:27.259-07:002012-04-18T06:38:27.259-07:00I wouldn't go anywhere as I love my hometown s...I wouldn't go anywhere as I love my hometown so much, but my husband and I once did something very similar to what you are doing--left good jobs in D.C. and moved back down here without any job prospects so that he could get residency and go to law school here after a year. We ended up with minimum wage jobs for most of that year (and I was pregnant at the time too) but we've never, ever regretted going out on that limb! You are an inspiration and I can't wait to hear more of your big adventures!Lesliehttp://lesliesholly.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9200957061062947070.post-28259524955601125682012-04-17T17:34:11.060-07:002012-04-17T17:34:11.060-07:00Ms. Punky.....you made me think of my braver, youn...Ms. Punky.....you made me think of my braver, younger days when I left my family in Kansas and moved to Chicago. I am so excited for you and your new adventure, and I'd like to kidnap your dad and call him my own. What a gem, that one. I think the part that makes you EXTRA brave is that you're moving to a big city. I get anxiety just driving in cities, so the idea of living in one petrifies me. Go you for following your dreams!RadiantKristenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17926722504480507674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9200957061062947070.post-57135911559008134712012-04-16T17:56:56.225-07:002012-04-16T17:56:56.225-07:00Lovely post! Your dad sounds like such an incredible man, his words were beautiful. I need to remember them. If I could go anywhere right now... There are so many places in my mind... North to return home, to Illinois and then to Georgia to live with my sister, to Oregon/ Washington where my dad is, or to Norway (random?)- somewhere I've always been drawn to.Gentrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09674664948794674777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9200957061062947070.post-47299629801044089652012-04-16T17:13:01.266-07:002012-04-16T17:13:01.266-07:00Love the story of your first trip to NY.
